Here’s a quick
introduction to help you know me better so these next couple weeks aren’t terribly
awkward. My name is Grace, I am a junior at Kennesaw State, and I love talking
to people and forming new relationships. I want to finish school as soon as
possible and begin my adult life where the only tests are based off of
experiences and not how well you can memorize something. With that being said,
in this Careers in Org com class, we were challenged to talk about our career
path and what will get us there. This blog will be a series of attempts to
discover what it is that I want to do with my life and how to get there.
The lifelong
question now persists in my second semester of junior year, "What are you
going to do with your life?" The truth is, I have no idea. I have yet to
meet anyone who has a clear path of what they want to do. I want to say that I
know exactly what I will do. Yes, we all have dreams, but just a dream without
action is not enough to get us there.
However, in the
next few posts I will be exploring what I think my personal career path looks
like with guidance from my mentor. But before all of that, let’s talk about my
dream. Growing up as a Christian, I always experienced love and acceptance from
God. I found my worth and importance in Him when earthly relationships told me
time and time again that I wasn’t. Thus, came my mission: to show people what
unconditional love looks like in a world that does not know what it is.
For
me, this looks like going into ministry whether that be in a church setting in
the United States or overseas missions in Spanish speaking countries. I want to
live in a world where people know that they are deeply loved by the Father.
These next few weeks will show my journey into discovering what that looks like
tangibly.
